Bowls Ladder – end of month report

The bowls ladder seems to have been a great success so far, we are now up to 27 members in it and that number is growing all the time.  With just under a month of games played there has not been a radical change in the make up of the ladder.  Matthew Gill took over at the top after mauling his dad 21-8 and has yet to be toppled off his throne, despite several trying.  The biggest movers have been Don Morris, who has just reached the number 10 position to start fighting it out with the big boys, and, lower down the ladder, Peter Sephton has also been moving up before being stopped in his tracks recently by Kevin Wilcox, 21-14.

Biggest win goes to Don Morris, 21-6 against Kevin Wilcox, but the suprising thing has been the number of very close games – two 21-20 and several 21-19.

As we enter November the ladder has been reset, remember you need to play one game in a calendar month or you drop down two places – only Julie Brennan fell foul of this in October.  Can Matthew Gill be toppled off the top, will Dave Ball edge into the top three, will Don Morris be able to sustain his rise up the ladder?

The ladder is open for all members to join, if you wish to do so just let Ian Gill know and you will be added to the bottom and you can try and work your way up.
