We need to guage interest for 1/2 teams in an Aughton Mini-League to be played on our artificial green due to renovation work at Aughton Institute. We also need a volunteer for team captain. You don’t necessarily have to play every night. These are the dates for the mini league: Monday Sep 16 Thurs Sept 19 Mon Sept 23 Thurs Sept 26 Mon Sept 30 Thurs Oct 3Mon Oct 7 Thurs Oct 10 Mon 14 Oct The format is two pairs games a night for each team – 9 in total so each team gets a free night. Games are played Monday and Thursday nights. Teams require four players to play. There’s an entrance fee of £40 for each team and £100 goes as a donation to the hosting club and the rest paid out in prize money. If there’s 9 teams then each team will play 8 nights and one bye. Each team plays each other once. Two pairs matches at 21 up. 4 fixtures each night. 6.45 start (I think). £48 per team which works out at £6 per game (£1.50 per player).
