Maghull Winter Pairs LeagueA Maghull Winter Pairs League is planned to be played on our artificial green similar to last year

Dates for the league are still to be finalised but it is provisionally expected to start Tue 22SEP20 and be held weekly on Tuesdays with some matches starting @ 11am and others @ 1pm

• Teams are made up of four players making 2 pairs per match (2+2) [Total Team members can however be > 4]
• Each team plays each other twice over the weeks 
• The format will be two games of pairs for each team  (Pair A + Pair B)
• Each Match consists of Two games at 21 up – ie “Team 1 Pair A plays Team 2 Pair A” and on completion “Team 1 Pair B plays Team 2 Pair B”
• 1 Point for each game won + 1 point for the highest Aggregate of the 2 games (half point each, if the Aggregates tie)
• 5 fixtures each Tuesday (5 matches of 2 games each)
• 11am start (TBC).
• £1.50 per player per game – to be paid on the day
• Ormskirk will have 2 Teams (2 Teams of 4 – that will be a minimum of 8 Ormskirk players needed per Tuesday)
• You don’t need to be able to play every week – so if you are not available every week, but would still like the opportunity to play; That should not be a problem
• For those that played last year, the format is exactly the same – except games will be staggered so that we can comply with the Covid 19 requirement to have a max of 30 people convened at the green at any one time
