Club Policies

This page contains all the relevant policies and procedures for Ormskirk Bowling Club.  The Club takes its responsibilities very seriously and if anyone has any concerns about any aspects of the Club, or the behaviour of its members, then they should contact Ian Gill, the Club’s Safeguarding Officer, in complete confidence on 07500 918 081 or by email at iangilly66@gmail.com. Should any complaints be made then the Club will form a Disciplinary Sub Committee consisting of the three Executive Officers (Chairman/Secretary/Treasurer) to deal with any alleged breaches of the national or Club policies. Should any of these officers be subject of the complaint, or be related or a close personal friend of either of the parties, then another Committee member will be co-opted to serve on the Committee. Any investigations of allegations will be carried out by the Club’s Safeguarding Officer and reported to this Committee. Any appeals against a decision of the Club’s sub-committee should be made to the Lancashire CCGBA. The BCGBA procedures in relation to such matters will be adhered to.

In addition to the Club’s own policies below, the Club has also adopted the BDA/BCGBA Safeguarding Policies for Adults and Children and the BCGBA Discipline and Punishment Policy Where there is any conflict between the Governing Body and Club policies the national policies will take precedence. The use of social media is covered by the national Discipline and Punishment Policy.
