Sunday Federation Fixture on our Green

This Sunday, 14th May, the Ormskirk West Lancs Federation team will be taking on Rochdale on our artificial green in the National League. The match will start at 2pm and the team contains two of our very own talented players – Mike Fagan and Aaron Backhouse. Spectators are welcome to attend to come and support the team in what is sure to be a competitive fixture.

Parking may be a little limited as there is also a big cricket game also on so please be mindful of this fact, and that there be quite a few people about, and drive carefully into the site or park elsewhere.

Spring Pairs Results

With superb weather for competition day, a select few turned up for a good afternoon’s bowling on Sunday.

After 3 hours of nearly continuous bowling Dave Hulse and Keith Knaggs took the inaugural  Spring Pairs Title closely followed by Peter Grimes and Karen Jones as runners-up.

Big thanks to all those that turned up to play, the Arnold household who turned up en masse to provide support, and John Leadbetter for helping run the event.

The next competition is to be held on Sunday 4th June – the Ken Knowles Memorial Trophy. All members or prospective members are welcome to attend and pairs will be drawn out of the hat on the day. £2 entry with funds raised going to help the Club. Please attend if you can.
