There are 13 places left so far with over 2 week s to go.  Entries will be opened out to other clubs soon so get your place reserved now if you want to enter.

Also a reminder for Matthew’s fundraiser on 9th April.  Even fewer places left for this – just 9 more pairs before it is full, so if you are interested get in touch.

Steve Denning has done a great job finishing off our plumbing and units in the clubhouse. Our water should be switched on by the end of the month at the latest, so the toilet block should be operational soon as well.

The floor of the toilet block has been painted  (thanks largely to Ken Knowles) so it looks like new and we just need to give them a good clean so they will be ready to go once our water is on

After a mammoth amount of inputting the fixtures for all teams in all leagues and special events are now on the Calendar on this website.  If you select the ‘Calendar’ tab then you will find it all.  It is probably easiest to view in the ‘Agenda’ view (see top right of calendar to select) as you can scroll down easily in date order.  It will also enable Members to see when the artificial green is in use as all matches will be played on there this season. If you click on a fixture you can download matches to your own calendar if you use an electronic one in Google. It is also available to view below – enjoy!!

Thanks to all those that came and assisted with our clean up this morning. The toilet block was tidied up and the floor painted. Steve Denning (pictured) has sorted out our sink, which is now connected ready for the water being switched on later this month.

A variety of jobs are being done Saturday morning to clean/paint the floor of our toilet block, trim hedges and sort out our pavilion.  If you can help just come down for about 10.30am on Saturday morning with old clothes etc and we will see what jobs need doing.  Come along for any amount of time – every little helps!!

The Aughton League fixtures for a Wednesday evening for both the Ormskirk BC and Ormskirk Castle teams are now published on this site.  Fixtures, and all results & stats in due course, can also be found on the League website – http://bowlsnet.uk/aughton.

Congratulations to Don Morris who rapidly rose up the Winter League ladder, reached the top spot before Christmas  and who has yet to be defeated.  This is the player to beat.
