Just a quick reminder that our AGM and pre-season meeting will be held tomorrow night (7.30pm, Mon 22nd Feb) in the Ormskirk Cricket Club Pavilion. We look forward to seeing you there.
This short bit of video was taken yesterday. The artificial green levels are currently being done and it should be finished, apart from laying the carpet, by the end of the week.
See video of construction of our artificial green. Stone layer now going on.
The AGM is now confirmed as being on Monday 22nd February and it will start at 7.30pm. The meeting is being held in Ormskirk Cricket Club’s pavilion (Altys Lane, Ormskirk). A copy of the agenda and letter sent to members is attached below. If you know of anyone who may be interested in joining, total beginner through to experienced player, please bring them along.
The Bowling Club’s AGM and pre season meeting will be held on Monday 22 February at 7.30pm in the Cricket Club pavilion. An agenda will be sent out soon by email. It is important that all members and prospective members attend if possible to discuss how we take the club forward.
It has been announced that the Ormskirk League is going to go down to two divisions with 12 teams in each division. This follows the withdrawal of Burscough CC. Our club will have a team in the top division following the Windmill BC winning the A Division last year, whose place in the league we will be taking. Pictured is our esteemed Chairman Steve James, with the trophy the team won and his own trophy for topping the divisional averages.
A site meeting was held today and it could be as little as 5 weeks until works are completed, weather permitting. Progress is coming along really well and the edgings around the artificial green are not far off completion.
