Ormskirk Bowling Club

Can you help us? We are having a go at ‘crowdfunding’, in other words raising money for our new Club by everyone chipping in a small amount of money.  It would be great if you could donate even a small amount towards our cause (or if you are extremely rich a little bit more!). Club members will benefit by this facility so please contribute something if you can. This is a new club, with our new greens under construction, that desperately needs some form of log cabin clubhouse for shelter. Work has now started to lay the edgings around the artificial green, although rain is still slowing progress.

Mallinsons are now back on site.  You can now see the shape of the greens taking place, especially where the artificial one will go.

The heavy rainfall has resulted in the site getting completely flooded. Don’t think we will be seeing much work for some time!

Not much happening, I think rain has stopped ‘play’ over the last 3 days. I took some shots though and you can see things are starting to take shape.

A site meeting was held this morning and good progress is being made. The size of the greens was discussed and whilst the artificial green will stay at 32m x 32m, the grass green can be lengthened by 6m so it will be 38m x 32m. Latest pictures are below.
